Job Summary

Operate as the Account Supervisor within Marketing & Public Relations, serving as a department leader and subject matter expert with specific responsibility for strategically-important institutional initiatives including the CHOP Care Network and Clinical Service Lines. Collaborate with Digital, PR and Creative leaders and broader team to meet CHOP’s brand strategy, organizational goals and programmatic objectives. Efficiently balance strategic needs while meeting day-to-day project management needs in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.

Job Responsibilities

Brand Strategy
  • In collaboration with Director of Marketing, manage strategic relationships, Clinical Service Lines, and Care Network for example.
  • In collaboration with PR and Digital Strategy counterparts, develop integrated marketing plans for assigned programs during each fiscal year’s planning cycle, incorporating both on- and off-line strategies. Plans will address business objectives, marketing strategy, tactics, key audiences, timeline, budget, accountabilities and approval process.
  • Collaborate with creative team members on creative strategy to meet plan and/or project objectives. Develop creative briefs as needed.
  • Serve as marketing strategist and subject matter expert for assigned programs
  • Collaborate with Consumer Insights team to gain a better sense of consumer perception and wants.
  • Ensure consistent and accurate translation of the brand to all marketing materials based on established institutional brand standards
Account Management & Marketing Activity
  • Serve as day-to-day contact for strategic partnership contacts and key internal clients.
  • Collaborate with Public Relations, Digital and external groups including, Payor Relations, CME, Development and Provider Engagement when appropriate. Provide regular status and analytics reports on all current client activity, reviewing priorities, timelines, approvals and issues. Serve as Marketing representative for Outreach Committees for assigned accounts.
  • Ensure that assigned work is consistently on budget, on schedule and on strategy.
  • In conjunction with Creative Director, determine appropriate client interface on creative issues.
  • Lead and manage every phase of assigned projects ensuring that every team member/supplier is executing responsibilities consistent with project plan, quickly resolving problems and obstacles and reporting barriers or risks to department leadership.

Department Operations & Workflow
  • Help to continually optimize workflow, utilizing Workfront and other tools (as necessary) to maintain air-tight control of all jobs and their corresponding budgets
  • Provide financial and other reports to clients, utilizing the Workfront system
  • Work with production to ensure timely and accurate processing of client invoices

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree

Required Experience: At least nine (9) years of experience in brand communications or marketing.

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Education: Masters degree.

Preferred Experience: Advertising agency experience

Additional Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Workamajig experience a plus.
