About GTC:
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for answering multiple incoming phone lines expediently and professionally.
- Ensure phone calls are redirected accordingly
- Greet customers and guest in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
- Maintains office supplies by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.
- Assist truck sales inventory manager.
- Some marketing duties including flyer creation, email marketing and brand management.
- Qualify website sales leads.
- Update and maintain online business directories.
- Maintain a clean and professional atmosphere while managing all front desk duties.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties such as mail opening, distribution, and handling all incoming and outgoing packages, stocking and ordering supplies.
- Assistance with assigned accounts payable tasks.
- Reconciliation of cash, check, credit card activity and banking.
- Assists marketing and operations in planning, coordinating and hosting of company events such as open house, holiday, and driver appreciation events.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
Experience:Customer service experience required, multiple phone line experience, and PC/software experience. Knowledge of trucking industry beneficial but not required. Marketing experience preferred but not required.
Skills: Must be professional and have excellent phone etiquette. Must be customer service driven. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access). Ability to prioritize and multi-task. The ideal candidate must be energetic, professional and safety minded at all times. Excellent communication both verbal and written, listening skills. Good customer service skills. Able to work with minimal supervision and direction. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Physical Demands: Requires continuous sitting, repetitive hand movement of opening and sorting documents. May require light lifting and moderate walking (including stairs). Extensive use of telephone, keyboard and computer.
Environmental Demands: Indoors with minimal outdoors; primarily located at a front desk work station. Moderate to heavy background noise and office traffic. Required to transport documents between buildings in seasonal weather conditions.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 am- 4:30 pm with a half hour lunch. Total weekly hours: 40
