Overview:

Canvas Worldwide. Named “Most Innovative Agency” by Campaign US, is an independent media agency that provides ingenious solutions for brands looking to challenge the status quo.
The Analyst, Social Media is an entry level position where both Account and Media responsibilities will be learned on the job. The Analyst will assist the larger team to execute paid media tactics, optimize campaigns, track budget pacing, pull data and extrapolate insights, and make recommendations based on in-market results. Digital media is a 24 hour, 7-day a week medium so the work is fast-paced and sometimes ad hoc. The ability to work as part of a team in such an environment is critical, as is a sense of innate curiosity, attention to detail and a self-motivated work ethic.
In the Analyst role, you will focus on Paid Social Media as you work toward completion of a predetermined checklist to determine your mastery of the fundamentals in this channel. You will learn the ins and out of buying advertising on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snap and TikTok. You will get to understand how to reach a brand’s target audience, what ad units to leverage when, how to activate media and analyze campaign performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle set-up of our paid social media campaigns including setting up campaigns, ads, and audience parameters. You will support your peers by reviewing their work to ensure correct set-up and to avoid errors.
  • Monitor campaigns for traffic abnormalities and to ensure proper budget pacing to avoid under- or over-spend.
  • Participate in campaign success by identifying opportunities for performance improvements and implementing optimizations.
  • You will learn how to analyze data. Data let’s us know what is working or not working in our social media efforts. This includes running reports for internal purposes as well as client requests.
  • Every advertising campaign requires financial commitment from our clients. It is your responsibility to set-up all campaign budget parameters into our billing tool called Prisma. Each month you will verify the previous month’s platform spend matches the invoices we receive from our social media vendors.
  • You will meet with our social vendors regularly and you will be tasked with keeping abreast of the latest advertising news. This will help you and your team stay on top of the latest trends in tools and technology

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor »s Degree
  • 0-1 years of experience preferably in a media/PR agency
  • Proven ability to drive projects from start to finish
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to follow through
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Possess a strong and proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with flexibility and communicate priorities to Supervisor
  • High level proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office products as well as planning tools
