Job Description
The role will be to provide a comprehensive receptionist, administrative and supportive service at our Beckenham Beacon & Orpington Antenatal Clinic and to patients of the unit, and to accurately maintain patient records and statistical information, utilising computer facilities available.
The post holder will have responsibility to work collaboratively to ensure that all patients have been booked and registered to the unit and that all clinics are prepared and organised appropriately. In addition, the candidate will be expected to maintain diaries, appointments system and records ensuring follow up as requested, including those who fail to attend.
The ideal candidate should be an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who can work effectively as part of a team to deliver a high-quality and efficient administrative service. The post holder needs to possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the ability to remain calm in a busy environment. Excellent organisational skills and commitment to make a difference in our patients’ journey are also essential.
Ideally the post holder will have experience of hospital administration systems and in particular PIMS. This is not essential, however they will need to understand the importance of ensuring quality data is being inputted into our systems.
