Job Description
The spectacular Cocktail Bar at the Merchant Hotel is officially The World’s Best Hotel Bar, as judged by Tales of the Cocktail internationally acclaimed festival.
The Merchant Hotel is a sumptuous 5* hotel situated in Belfast City Centre. We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor to join our team in The Cocktail Bar.
The candidate should have strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop a team and be able to deliver excellent customer care.
The role will involve
- Using several computer packages, so strong IT skills are essential.
- Supervising a team of 15 people
- Flexibility to work shift patterns to meet the needs of the business
- Some understanding of cash handling, rotas, payroll and stock control procedures
- Ability to further improve and build on existing Bar standards in both food and beverage through staff training
- Overseeing functions for the Bar
The essential criteria for this position is:
- 2 years experience in a high end cocktail environment
- Keen interest in delivering 5* service
- An excellent knowledge of spirits and mixed drinks
- One years’ experience managing people management
The desirable criteria for this position is:
- A minimum of 1 years experience in a similar supervisory role is desirable.
