Brief Description
The aim of the Information Management team is to promote collaboration, define clear requirements, processes and tools to enable efficient and effective transfer of information between project delivery and the maintainer. Whilst making our data more assessable to reduce waste/rework in the design, construction and operation.
Although the role is based in London, One Stratford Place, other locations within the Eastern Region could be considered
About the role (External)
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain the onboarding of new projects and users within the Common Data Environment. Agreeing with projects the appropriate folders structure and permissions to enable the project teams to create and exchange data in a collaborative environment.
- Support Capital Delivery Eastern Information Manager with the collation of existing asset data to support the early stage of works, mitigating risk and rework.
- Review and assure project deliverables are aligned with project specific requirements and Network Work Rail Standards, to support project closeout and handback
- Monitor and report on project deliverables, within the Common Data Environment. Providing visibility of any potential delays and assurance to the project team that deliverables are aligned with requirements.
- Provide training and support relating to the production and delivery of project information to both internal and external teams, to enable users to use the tools to their best of ability, mitigating any project delays due to lack of understanding.
- Responsible for the administration of permissions within the Common Data Environment, providing both internal and external teams with the relevant permissions to undertake the required task to support project delivery and handback.
- Responsible for the project configuration during the strategic development and project selection stage to enable the supply chain’s delivery of project deliverables
- Provide technical support and expertise to the supply chain with the completion and handback of the H&S files to the National Record Group, With the aim of H&S files being accepted first time round.
- Monitor adoption of information management and document control processes within programme and project teams. Through audits on the Common Data Environment, provide assurance to the project teams that deliverables are aligned to process and will not impact project handback and H&S file acceptance.
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Detailed knowledge and experience in the management of information and documentation in an engineering project environment.
- Detailed knowledge and experience of the Information Management Systems (Bentley ProjectWise, AssetWise, Sharepoint, Logi)
- Knowledge and experience of project management processes
- Knowledge of the H&S file creation and handback process
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team and project context
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relations with key stakeholders and suppliers
- Experience in providing training on systems and tools
- Demonstrable skills in initiating and building positive working relationships with customers, their team and stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience of seeking ways to improve ways of working, being open to change and doing things differently
- Demonstrates an ability to make timely decisions and to think ahead
- Demonstrable understanding of how the role influences the customers » experience
- Demonstrable experience of having a positive attitude about work and change and demonstrating positive working behaviours
Desirable
- Knowledge of the Railway Industry.
- Experience of requesting geospatial project data
- Experience in the use of 3D CAD design/modelling application, preferably Microstation
Salary: £34,050 to £38,305
