Locations covered: Reading, Slough, Maidenhead, Newbury
Band 2 and Band 3
Day Rate – £10.90/£11.85 per hour
Night/Sat Rate -£15.37/£16.00 per hour
Sun/Bank Holiday Rate -£19.95/ £20.03 per hour
What you’ll be responsible for –
· To support and enable patients, to promote independent living and monitor their well-being, which will include: –
· Personal care/bathing/showering/toileting
· Supervising and/or administering medication
· Confidence building
· Exercise programmes/mobility
· Basic wound dressings, removal of sutures, observations, temperature, respirations, and blood pressure
· Taking blood
· Assisting with patient mobility and moving and handling of patients using specialist equipment as necessary.
· Taking and recording of patient observations and simple dressings once competency assessed
· To comply with the ward philosophy of care
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.
You’ll have the following qualification/experience:
· An NVQ Level 2 or above in Health & Social Care Qualification or Care Certificate Qualification that has been obtained within the NHS
· A minimum of 6 months experience if one of the above qualifications is obtain, if not a minimum of 12 months is required. Experience must be within an NHS or private setting such as Hospice. Care home experience no accepted for this trust for this role
· Undertake regular mandatory training
· Some roles will need a valid PMVA/MAPA training
