Job Description

The River Valley Technical Center School District is looking for a Special Needs professional to support the instruction of students of this regional secondary technical education center. Applicants must be certified (or able to be certified) as a Career and Technical Special Needs Coordinator (544-87) in the State of Vermont; demonstrate related education and/or industry experience, and have a genuine interest in career and technical education. Duties Include: Assisting Special Needs students with the technical education and academic components of their technical education program as required per the IEP service page Providing support as needed to struggling studentsAttending all IEP and 504 meetings of students who attend the Technical CenterCommunicating IEP and 504 information to Technical Instructors and appropriate staffProviding input on IEP goal development, services, accommodations and modifications related to technical educationEnsuring IEP and 504 accommodations are being followed through consultation with the instructor Participating in Educational Support Team meetings The position commences August 2023.
