Job Description

Summary

We are looking for an assistant teacher who is child-focused and would like to join a team of people who have a passion for caring for children

Duties

General responsibilities:

The teaching assistant shall work under the close supervision of the lead teacher or teacher in the classroom.
The lead teacher or teacher will instruct the assistant teacher in child management techniques, parent communications, program structure, and activity plans.
Interacting affectionately and respectfully with children.
Speak in a friendly, calm, soft, courteous manner with the children.
Communicate with children at their level.
Be available and responsive to the children »s needs, questions and requests.
Use positive discipline techniques as modeled by the lead teachers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
• Willing to train.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First aid certified.
• Early childhood education classes/experience.
