Job Description

Overview:

Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) – recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace – is seeking a Communications Specialist to support an Enterprise Portfolio Management Organization. You will provide communications support for our internal team as well as process improvement initiatives across a large vendor community which provides a portfolio of services for our Federal client.

What You »ll Do:

• Develop and implement communications campaigns for organizational change such as new methodologies and new tools
• Assist teams with stakeholder analysis and messaging
• Design and develop artifacts such as training, website updates, posters, one-pagers and presentations
• Identify improvements in the Communications processes and recommend and implement changes as required
• Maintain content on our Atlassian Community portal, keeping information refreshed and interesting to drive use
• Provide full lifecycle support for the Community Town Halls including maintenance of a topic backlog, presenter coordination, presentation QA, meeting logistics, session marketing and meeting facilitation
• Prepare briefing materials for presentations to various stakeholders
• Support project teams by overseeing the development and implementation of project communications and stakeholder management plans
• Monitor compliance and provide guidance to each program or project to ensure consistent use of established processes, standards, tools, and best practices
• Develop and implement an internal communications plan that emphasizes a knowledge sharing culture and an active and engaged team

Must Haves:

• 4 year degree, preferably in public relations, communications or relevant field
• 3+ years’ experience in communications and training, preferably with an IT organization
• Exceptional writing skills with experience in copywriting and editing
• Working knowledge of MS Office; photo and video-editing software is an asset
• Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
• Self-motivated with extreme attention to detail
• Ability to adhere to tight deadlines
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong client relationship skills

Nice to Haves:

• Web design and content production experience is a plus
• Atlassian tool-set experience a plus
• Graphic design experience preferred
