WHAT TO EXPECT
The Compliance Lead will have overarching responsibility for all compliance activities within Design, including but not limited to Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental, working with subject matter experts within the wider team. They will be accountable for Design’s compliance with a number of standards and regulations, such as IATF 16949 and GDPR, as well as the delivery of any other key process / compliance activities, such as Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM) assessments. They will also lead Design’s Operational Sustainability workstreams, ensuring Design delivers against its targets for reducing energy usage and zero waste to landfill.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Overarching responsibility for all compliance activities within Design, including but not limited to Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental, working with subject matter experts within the wider team
- Lead all QMS activities within the department, including the annual external UTAC audit, ensuring compliance to IATF 16949
- Driving the closure of non-conformances through effective corrective actions, engaging with stakeholders across the function and promoting a culture of continual improvement
- GDPR Lead for Design, responsible for delivering Design’s bespoke training plan, managing the Privacy by Design & Default process and fostering a culture of data privacy
- Responsible for the delivery of Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM) assessments, as well as supporting the wider business on JLR’s journey to becoming an industry leader in business excellence
- Responsible for shaping and delivering Design’s Operational Sustainability strategy, working closely with Facility Leads to deliver improvements, monitoring KPIs and driving progress against agreed targets
- Responsible for the delivery of any other key process / compliance activities as and when required
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:
- Experience of collaborating cross-functionally
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience of managing auditing activities in the Automotive Industry
- Strong experience and knowledge of Quality Management Systems procedures & deliverables
- Sound knowledge of GDPR and data privacy requirements
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred
Desirable:
- Advanced knowledge of key business systems and processes, e.g. quality tools and techniques
- Experience with TBEM applications and assessments
- Certified IATF 16949 auditor
- Awareness of ISO standards such as ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety)
- A keen interest in sustainability, with an awareness of key challenges within the automotive industry
