Job Description
Digitas Health London is the People-Powered Health agency: We help brands engage with people to deliver ideal health, now. We design transformative experiences that move people further along the path to health at any moment. By putting the power to change health outcomes in the hands of patients, healthcare professionals, carers, and payers, we help health brands create value across today’s connected health ecosystem. To do this, we start with a generous, behaviour-driven ideal then work in lean, agile and iterative ways to turn the ideal into action.
We are a generous, idealistic, straight-talking collection of creatives, strategists, analysts, social media experts, PMs, and client service leads. We work together to help people-centric health brands deliver new business value through new customer experiences. Whether connected content programmes, mobile apps, digital services, or social communities, we use digital and emerging technologies to help healthcare brands build loyalty, break habits, connect care ecosystems, and disrupt traditional markets.
As part of Publicis Health, our small-but-mighty team works to bring applied innovation to a range of global, EMEA and UK clients, working in collaboration with other DH offices in Philadelphia, New York, San Francisco and other sister agencies in London, Windsor and around the world. At DH London, we believe the healthcare industry is ready for something new. New tech platforms, data-driven engagement models, and digital product divisions may be foundational to the current wave of change, but it’s ideas, experiences and stories that inspire people to change behaviour. And that’s where you come in.
At DH London our work takes many forms, and as Creative Director you are prepared to both create and direct a wide range of creative work. In the past 12 months we’ve worked on behavioural support experiences, OTC patient campaigns, digital product design and branding projects, and HCP engagement campaigns. Our creative remit varies, but in every instance –whether in big conceptual or tactical design mode – powering people to change health outcomes is at the heart of what we do. We’re looking for a Creative Director who shares this vision, brings a strong POV about how brands can leverage data in a constantly-evolving digital landscape to strengthen their relationships with people, and the hands-on craft skills to help bring ideas to life through collaboration with the broader team.
Core responsibilities include:
- Develop flexible creative platforms and experiences that help our clients’ brands connect with healthcare audiences through a range of experiences and touchpoints
- Play a pivotal role in storytelling and selling creative vision and ideas to clients with enthusiasm & impact, knowing when to push the client and when to pull back
- Simplify the complex – whether that’s helping a client step into new territories, refining messages, or leveraging new technology and developments
- Evaluate conceptual thinking, copy, art-direction, design and UX/UI, and provide direction, whilst demonstrating a thorough understanding of how we deliver outstanding execution
- Collaborate with creative team members to nurture and develop concepts and experiences for clients
- Through a Client Service, Strategy & Creative collaboration, help influence upstream conversations with clients to nurture their ambitions and opportunities
- Step in and play a hands-on role in the work when the need arises, helping to push work to a high standard of design
- Work closely with the Strategy, Client Service and PM teams, ensuring that all creative work is strongly rooted in our clients’ commercial aspirations
- Help deliver an evolving vision that engages, inspires, and differentiates the agency as a whole
- Ensure that creative workshops with and presentations meet the highest professional standards
- Coach, lead and develop the creative team, and actively manage the creative team performance and workload
- Engage with cross-discipline working wherever possible
- Showcase and share creative work across the team, discipline, and broader agency
- You are a passionate, digital-first creative with a strong portfolio of creative work, including creative campaigns, digital content and experiences, and digital apps/products
- You have a keen eye on the evolution of digital technologies, platforms and experiences and how the dynamic nature of digital could enhance a brands value in the world
- You have a strong vision for exceptional digital creativity today, and have a proven ability to connect that vision to client briefs and requirements
- You can both lead work and partner to deliver it; you will need to lean in, and with our strong creative team, take an active role in the process
- You likely have an art, design, or UX/UI background, as well as a strong understanding of how brands best come to life across digital touchpoints and channels, and will have proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, etc.
- While you may have experience working in the broader healthcare space (Rx, OTC, med devices, or broader health/wellness brands), you are motivated and excited by the potential of creative thinking to power people and change health outcomes
- You are an experienced line manager and can develop, inspire, push and support your team
- You are collaborative by nature and adept at partnering with Strategy, Client Service and Project Management to shape and deliver exceptional work
