Job overview

This exciting new joint role with the East Midlands Imaging Network (EMRAD) and the East Midlands Academic Health Science Network (EMAHSN) involving driving Innovation, effective engagement and building collaboration with regional and national partner organisations.

The post holder will support a wide range of stakeholders across the East Midlands in the discovery, development, deployment, and sustainability of innovation and transformational programmes, and nationally. The post holder will lead on a number of specific projects designed to enable improvements in clinical outcomes, deliver better patient experiences and drive down the cost of care through innovation

This is a great opportunity to join a team who deliver transformational programmes of work across a Network of 8 Trusts and to work with the only mature Imaging Network in the NHS

Essential criteria

    • Degree in health services management or business, or another related discipline, or equivalent experience Educated to Masters or equivalent level in a health services management or business field, or equivalent experience
    • Evidence of continued professional development

Experience

Essential criteria

    • Experience of managing medium/large-scale projects working across different organisations and within a complex environment using a range of programme management techniques
    • Significant change management experience in health and social care with proven ability to produce robust evidence-based business cases, endorsed by relevant stakeholders to support sustainability and spread
    • Working in a programme management role working with a range of external and public organisations including NHS agencies, local authorities, government agencies, voluntary and independent sectors
    • Proven ability to motivate individuals/team to achieve challenging goals whilst providing appropriate support tools and clear direction to keep projects on track

Knowledge

Essential criteria

    • Specialist knowledge of planning, implementing and evaluating programme aims and objectives, aligned to corporate priorities and strategies

Communication

Essential criteria

    • Ability to motivate, influence and persuade senior teams and managers on issues relating to adoption and spread of EMRAD programmes and programme management

Analytical and judgement skills

Essential criteria

    • Ability to think laterally, identify and evaluate options and present workable solutions to complex service issues taking into account internal and external political environments.

Planning and organisation skills

    • Able to develop a range of strategic and operational plans for implementation of innovations in a variety of settings and crossing organisational boundaries, taking into consideration local context

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

The system will provide us with an outcome of your check which will be stored securely on your personal file along with all other pre-employment check documentation.

Consent:

  • Transfer of information: If I have previous NHS service – I consent to the transfer of my Electronic Staff Record (ESR) data between this and other NHS Trusts. I also consent to the Occupational Health Department confidentially accessing my occupational health records from my current or previous employer in order to check the status of my vaccinations, immunisations s and screening tests as relevant to the post. I understand this is an automated process and the information will only be used for these purposes prior to me taking up the position at NUH.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service: Your post maybe subject to a DBS check which incur a cost dependent on the level of check required (£41.90 for enhanced and £21.90 for standard). I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if it is required (by deduction from first month’s pay). Should I decide to withdraw from my job offer, I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of the DBS check undertaken by cheque or other agreed method.
