Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree or a minimum of 3 years of related office experience, with school office experience preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of computers and software applications, especially the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps.
  • High level of experience and competence of on-line data management system(s).
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Responsibility of employee to obtain and maintain all training(s), certificate(s), approval(s), etc. and provide documentation to the business office before expiration of said document(s).
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Required to have a physical presence at the designated job site each scheduled work day.
  • Must have regular and reliable job attendance, performance, and the physical ability to do the job.


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate the process for state-required student count days for all ISD programs ensuring that timelines are met, paperwork is accurate, and the electronic state filing is completed.
  • Assist in the management of special education data sets so that required data is submitted in a timely and accurate manner as required by state and federal law.
  • Produce reports as required for student count days, ISD administrative meetings, work groups, etc.
  • Oversee data collection for GSRP and reporting to MSDS for all GSRP programs in the county.
  • Oversee the management of ISD assigned UIC codes with the State.
  • Serve as the coordinator and contact person for the ISD student information system.
  • Serve as the coordinator and contact person for the ISD special education database.
  • Oversee Early On reporting.
  • Oversee the filing system for student records in the ISD’s electronic file management system.
  • Communicate effectively with families, ISD staff/administration, local districts, agencies, etc.
  • Assist and back-up other ISD executive assistants, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by ISD Administration.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
A 260-day position. Salary and conditions of employment are determined by the Board of Education.
