We invest in this vision by: Focusing intently on pre-service and weekly professional development, centered on video analysis, data analysis, and co-planning.Holding ourselves accountable by measuring student mastery of clear learning standards, not by scripting the curriculum.Sweating the small stuff to create a highly functional working and learning environment The RoleThe Facilities Manager (FM) will be responsible for managing facility maintenance and upkeep at two Brooke campuses (Brooke East Boston and Brooke High School), including overseeing the day and night custodial staff at these campuses. The FM will report directly to the Operations Leaders at both campuses and will be considered a half-time member of each school-based operations team. The FM will interact with employees, vendors, and contractors as a representative of Brooke Charter Schools, and is expected to maintain the highest standard of professionalism, confidentiality, and responsiveness. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring that both campuses in their domain are well-maintained and high-functioning. Some specific responsibilities included in that domain include: Conducting on-site maintenance and repairsCoordinating contracting out of larger maintenance and repairsConducting routine preventative maintenanceManaging vendor relationship with our external custodial companyOverseeing and supervise day porters and night facilities crewOverseeing and coordinate snow removal and regular landscaping on the school groundsSummer cleaning and project managementManaging implementation of asbestos abatement plans, lead abatement, and water regulation complianceOverseeing implementation of fire safety plans, including contracts for the monitoring and maintenance of fire alarm and fire suppression systemsOversee implementation and maintenance of security & other facility systems Qualifications & CompetenciesPrior full-time work experience requiredStrong project management skills Strong customer service skills Maintenance experience preferred but not requiredK-12 school experience preferred but not requiredGeneral handyman capabilities Salary range for this role is $54,000 to $86,400 depending upon level of prior experience.The community and students we serve are diverse, and we are committed to reflecting that diversity in our staff.
