Job Description
Position Overview
This position is responsible for overall maintenance of building and grounds, including routine building repairs, coordination of scheduled building and equipment maintenance, and periodic inspections of buildings, equipment and life-safety systems.
Essential Duties
- Develops and keeps current maintenance logs for all significant equipment and systems in the administrative office and Inpatient buildings, including but not limited to, HVAC, life-safety, water heaters and landscape features.
- Performs minor electrical, mechanical, plumbing and paint-related repairs as identified.
- Coordinates with contractors as approved by Director, Purchasing & Administration for completion of more substantial repairs and routine maintenance.
- Negotiates, administers and maintains contracts for routine maintenance of building, grounds and major equipment, with direction from the Director, Purchasing & Administration.
- Coordinates monthly file drills at Inpatient Units and ensures fire alarm safety testing according to schedule.
- Maintains confidentiality of patients and their families, co-workers, volunteers, and the organization at all times.
- Adheres to the organization’s Standards of Conduct and HIPAA regulations.
- Reports any potential misconduct or violation of the organization’s Standards of Conduct, HIPAA regulations, or federal or state laws and regulations.
Non-essential Duties
- Performs weekly walkthroughs of facilities to assess safety and routine maintenance issues.
- Other duties as assigned to promote efficiency and support the mission of the organization.
