Position Reports to: Manager, GES Internal Communications
Position Summary:
The GES Internal Communications Specialist (ICS) plays an integral role in supporting the success of the GES practice by providing support planning and executing internal communication projects. This role collaborates with internal colleagues and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support of core strategy and initiatives.
The ICS will develop and implement GES internal communications deliverables for various channels (i.e., email, intranet, internal newsletters, etc.) as well as write/edit for a variety of internal communications, including presentations, web content, newsletters, and practice-wide communications. The ICS will also ensure that communications are aligned with Quality and Risk standards.
To be considered for this role, a candidate must have the following:
- Bachelor »s degree
- Experience that demonstrates business acumen, strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team environment
- Advanced understanding of MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Outlook (for broad email distribution purposes)
- Basic/functional knowledge of SharePoint
- Basic intranet / internal website development knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with knowledge of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills
- Ability to provide basic feedback / editing for short videos
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications and personal attributes:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and interact at all levels, managing both up and down with tact and diplomacy
- Demonstrated creativity in developing a variety of deliverables that are engaging and differentiated (presentations, emails, etc.)
- Proficient to advanced skills in developing infographics, icons, etc., in PowerPoint or formal design application(s) (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) preferred.
- Communicates with a positive, « can-do » attitude and professional demeanor
- Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated; able to work independently and collaborate as part of a team to achieve business goals with confidence and initiative
- Comfortable with working remotely and virtually interacting with peers and stakeholders
- Flexible and adaptable; able to embrace ongoing change in tasks and environment
- Detail-oriented, quality conscious and dependable
- Exercises good judgment/decision-making; a critical and innovative thinker who can navigate gray areas, anticipate problems, formulate solutions and act accordingly
- Eager to grow; motivated to learn and develop new skills
Ability to travel 5%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $69300 to $152100.
