Great Bear is an award-winning 3rd Party UK business of Ambient products, providing nationwide dedicated and shared user warehousing and distribution solutions.
We are currently looking for both experienced and newly qualified professional HGV C+E Drivers on permanent basis for our contract at our Brackmills, Northampton depot.
Shifts: 4o4o nights
Rates:
- £13.50 per hour
- Additional £1 p/h for working 4o4o
- Additional £1 p/h for working nights
- Overtime = £19.55 per hour – Nights after completing weekly contractual hours
Normal hours of work:
- 3 Day Rostered week 33 hrs per week
- Paid hours per contracted week 31.5 hrs per week
- Paid hours per contracted day 10.5 hrs per day
- Break deducted per shift 30 mins unpaid
- 4 Day Rostered week 44 hrs per week
- Paid hours per contracted week 42 hrs per week
- Paid hours per contracted day 10.5 hrs per day
- Break deducted per shift 30 mins unpaid
To deliver Company and Third Party products to specified locations and in accordance with the delivery schedule
- Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork
- Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
- Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department
- Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
- Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times
- Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
- Responsible for unit and trailer, including temperature checks
- Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery
- Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business
- Any other duties as reasonably required
- Possession of LGV Class 1 Licence
- Current CPC
- Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadline
