Job description
At an exciting time for Lightcliffe Academy, we are looking to appoint our first full-time HR Officer. You will use your experience to provide a range of high-quality HR and payroll services from admin to basic advisory, taking a pivotal role in supporting attendance and wellbeing across our staff group. You will work as part of the academy’s fantastic support team and as part of our wider Trust HR team who work together to ensure all Trust staff receive the same experience of working for Abbey Multi Academy Trust. As a new member of staff, we will nurture, challenge and support you to ensure you are successful in your role.
We are looking for a dedicated individual who can:
  • Be the first point of contact for HR queries and advice within the academy, escalating as required
  • Support the whole people cycle from recruitment to leavers with a range of HR and payroll services
  • Work on their own initiative and as part of a wider team to support high quality HR services
  • Ensure that customer service and employee experience are a priority
  • Bring a positive and proactive approach to a busy and diverse workload
You will be:
  • Confident, positive and approachable
  • A proven, knowledgeable HR administrator who is keen to develop into a more generalist role or an experienced practitioner who already has a track record of delivering high quality advice
  • Someone who can hit the ground running in this impactful role
  • Collaborative and a genuine team player
