Ingram Content Group (ICG)
is hiring for an HR Generalist to contribute to our team in La Vergne, TN just outside Nashville. In this role, you will serve as the single point of contact for HR services and programs for a targeted group of internal customers. You will guide all aspects of HR delivery to positively impact business unit performance. This includes administering the functions of the employment lifecycle from recruitment to exit such as sourcing, staffing, employment administration, associate relations, leave administration, benefit administration, and training.

Schedule: Day Shift

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or directly related year for year experience
  • 2 years human resource related course work, projects or experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft, Kronos or similar
  • Leave experience (ADA, FMLA, and STD)
  • Experience within an operations or high production environment (i.e. Manufacturing, Distribution, Warehouse)
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Experience conducting new hire orientation and with administrative tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate Excel experience (data manipulation, charts/graphs, pivot tables and V look-ups)

Essential Duties:

  • Administers the functions of the employment lifecycle such as employment administration, onboarding, associate relations, leave administration, benefits administration, and training.
  • Delivers orientation and educates new hires on company policy and procedures.
  • Advises and counsels management and associates on various state and federal regulations, company policies and procedures and HR practices, as they relate to associate issues, performance management, promotion and compensation practices
  • Provides support to client group on associate relations matters, to include investigations, leveraging strategies toward resolution and providing recommendations for counseling/ employment status.
  • Supports the annual performance review process.
  • Develops strategies for achieving diversity including development of annual Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) for client group.
  • Administers/Supports compensation and benefit programs, unemployment claims, and the ICG leave process.
  • Maintains associate records for client groups, both paper and electronic (PeopleSoft & Kronos) files; enters status changes in HRIS systems; generates reports as needed.
  • Identifies and recommends process and policy changes for HR function and programs.
  • Partners with senior HR to develop/maintain procedures aimed at improving the quality and delivery of human resources programs/services.
