Dungarvin is an established national human services organization dedicated to providing high quality, community-based supports to people with disabilities severe and persistent mental health, and complex medical needs. . Minnesota is in search of a mission driven human resources leader to oversee the largest state within Dungarvin providing vision and strategy and development of the HR team.
FUN FACT:
Our founders Tim and Diane Madden opened the first Dungarvin program serving 15 people in St. Paul, Minnesota, in March 1976. Tim and Diane were the live-ins for that first program and they have continued their leadership of the organization since. Through the success of that program Dungarvin has grown to employ approximately 5,000 people who currently provide supports to over 5,000 individuals across 15 states.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
This role will partner with business leaders to implement and execute HR strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement. In addition, they will own programs that run across the broader HR team. The HRBP will help business leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and the overall employee experience.

WHAT YOU »LL DO:
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies. Then uniform Dungarvin HR policies, recommend changes to forms and policies and implement final revisions within the state.
Develops a high level of business knowledge and strong partnership with employees and managers on HR-related matters. This position will work closely with operations on HR-related matters and will participate in business development, support, and growth of the organization.
Provide coaching and resources to assist managers with employment law, investigations, coaching, progressive discipline, conditions of employment, accommodations, leaves of absence, terminations, and employee development and engagement.
Provide support operations management and quality assurance in developing, preparing, and disseminating key human resources data points in support of internal and external regulatory requirements.
Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. Provide specific HR training to supervisors on employment law, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation information, and procedures.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree and three or more years of HR Business Partner experience (or High School Diploma with 5-7 years of general human resources experience.)
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including but not limited to employee relations, federal and state employment laws, organizational developments, and compensation practices.
- Experience with investigations, coaching, development and training, project and change management and data analysis preferred.
- Must have strong computer skills to work in multiple systems, including but not limited to an HRIS, and LMS, and Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
NICE TO HAVE:
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred but not required.
