Job Description
- The commissary branch is responsible for the management of an agency wide logistical supply operation.
- This consists of the procurement, storage and distribution of inmate clothing, officer clothing, personal hygiene products, bedding, office supplies and cleaning supplies.
- Monthly shipments are made to commissaries located in 21 institutions.
- The commissary also oversees institutional barber/beauty shop and laundry operations.
- Your primary responsibility is to receive &distribute supplies/equipment accurately and timely.
- Maintain detailed inventory records.
- Practice stewardship by promoting excellence, fiscal responsibility &self-sufficiency.
- Responsible for cleanliness &organization of work site.
- Requires use of pallet jack/forklift.
- May be required to lift up to 60 lbs.& stand for long periods of time in extreme temperatures.
- May be required to assist in other areas to include backup to uniform section.
- Schedule subject to change. Daily inmate contact.

A High School Diploma and relevant program experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements: (Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
- A High School diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment.
