Job Description

The US Leveraged Loan Sales team specializes in providing efficient liquidity and execution to the top counterparties in the Leveraged credit space through trade idea generation and a focused approach to risk taking. Additionally, the Loan sales desk works closely with our partners in Structured Credit and Syndicate to assist in placement of primary issuance and CLO creation. The Loan sales team is supported in their efforts to distribute credit products by a team of desk analysts.

By nature of the product, the Leveraged Loan salesforce interacts daily with accounts across the entire spectrum of credit investors incorporating real money and CLOs to hedge funds. The current team consists of six senior members who are supported by several analysts. We are currently looking for a highly motivated VP/Director level salesperson to join the team.

We expect that our candidate would have strong credit skills and prior credit experience (minimum of 6-7 years) –- preferably a credit sales background but time spent in capital markets, research or trading would be considered beneficial as well. Ideally, we are seeking someone that has existing relationships within the Leveraged Credit market.

Key Responsibilities: The candidate must be focused and self-motivated and willing to bring a high degree of knowledge and energy to the business each day. The candidate is expected to cover accounts that invest in High Yield/Leveraged Loan debt in the US and, to a lesser degree, Europe. Additionally, Leveraged Loan Sales must be fluent in distributing (and creating) primary issuance. We aim to find someone who is committed to branding a business and a franchise and harnessing all that Citi offers (trading, thought leadership, syndicate and capital markets) to contribute to a top credit platform.
