Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Linen Sorter.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of clean linen items and scrubs to distribution points throughout the hospital. Inspects linen closets for quantities and delivers appropriate par levels. Replenishes scrub-machines as needed. Consolidate linen trucks and stores linen in clean linen room. Properly utilizes the hand-held data collection devices for restocking of linen closets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure all clean linen is weighed in upon delivery. All clean linen is immediately taken to the authorized clean linen storage room.
- Performs other duties as assigned in a manner that is in keeping with departmental customer service standards
- Inspects all linen as it is delivered to the units, ensure that linen is free of stains, smells, etc.
- As required: delivery of scrubs to dispensing machines are performed. Soiled scrub pickup is performed and soiled scrubs are brought down to the bulk soiled linen collection room.
- Clean linen bulk storage room: Carts are consolidated, empty bins are taken to the soiled chute room. Data collected is downloaded. Room is maintained in a neat and organized fashion at all times.
- Clean linen is taken to distribution points. Inventory of on-hand supplies is taken and recorded using the hand-held device. Units are restocked with the appropriate levels of linen.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Must be able to read, speak, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or the equivalent . Combination of education and experience in a related field.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $42,521.79 – $44,909.06 Annualy. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
