Job Description
Independent Living Maintenance Director
Position Summary:
Responsible for the community’s physical plant, grounds and equipment in-order to ensure a safe environment. Manages the process and supervises all Maintenance Staff to ensure accuracy of job duties.
Essential Functions:
- Because BrookHaven exists to care for our residents, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to provide quality care.
- Manage and train the staff to ensure schedules are filled and jobs are complete.
- Order and pick up supplies needed.
- Orders and distributes all supplies for maintenance, maintains monthly budget, and codes invoices.
- Oversee building operations (HV/AC, Lighting, Sprinkler, Kitchen Equipment, Elevators, etc).
- Document and track all PMs.
- Put together quotes and schedule contractors.
- Attend Department Head meetings.
- Assist with all extracurricular activities (barn sale, car show, fishing derby, etc).
- New resident orientations. Alarm changes and communication to cottage residents.
- Commitment to BrookHaven mission, values, philosophy and Service Excellence Initiative..
- Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
Position Responsibilities:
- Must follow BrookHaven Policies and Procedures
- Completes work orders in a timely manner.
- Maintains records for the environmental departments and conducts preventative maintenance program.
- Attend required in-service education.
- Orients new hires on fire safety, MSDS and lock out tag out procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license without restrictions.
- HVAC certified required.
