Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to, again, be supporting an ambitious City of London based top 50 firm of accountants that are keen to hire an enthusiastic and ambitious Mixed Tax Senior to complement their existing tax team.
Role Requirements –
Our client is looking for a mixed tax senior to work alongside their existing tax team and partner group to work on a growing amount of advisory work. This is seen as a key hire in the team and the role will offer a varied range of advisory work. There is a portfolio of 250 returns exists, which are mainly owner managed business directors with a handful of high net worth individuals. The role requires knowledge of not only dividend income and salary but rental income and EIS/VCT investments as well. Advising clients on the best way to hold assets would also be beneficial
Corporate tax:
- Preparation of corporation tax computations
- Preparation of forms CT600
- IXBRL tagging of accounts
- Capital allowance calculations including AIA »s, super deductions and special buildings allowances
- Advisory work on company/group structures, asset ownership
- Advising on statutory demergers
- Completing Management buyouts and advising clients on how to implement them
- Applying for clearance for transactions with HMRC
- Reorganisation of share capital structures
- General advise on vat etc
- Experience of corporation tax digita would be an advantage
Personal tax:
- Personal tax returns mainly involves these being reviewed and then discussing and agreeing them with the client.
- It also requires the returns to be agreed with HMRC.
- Experience of digita personal tax would be an advantage
Person Requirements –
At least 3+ years » experience in a similar mixed tax role, ideally at a senior level
Preferably CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified although those that are ATT qualified and have started their CTA studies will also be considered
Experience of managing a portfolio of clients in a compliance and advisory capacity
