Position Overview

Under direction, performs a variety of complex, specialized clerical information and assistance for the Office of General Counsel, Division of Administrative Hearing and Rules, Bureau of Hearings. Answers telephone calls, registers oral requests for hearings in real-time or responds to basic requests about the Bureau, the appeals process and the status of hearings. Screens materials for presence of required information, verifies that data is accurate, and attaches those materials to the appropriate file, either in paper or electronic format. Registers newly filed written appeals by electronic data entry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Under direction, performs a variety of complex, specialized clerical information and assistance for the Office of General Counsel, Division of Administrative Hearing and Rules, Bureau of Hearings.

  • Answers telephone calls, registers oral requests for hearings in real-time or responds to basic requests about the Bureau, the appeals process and the status of hearings.

  • Screens materials for presence of required information, verifies that data is accurate, and attaches those materials to the appropriate file, either in paper or electronic format.

  • Registers newly filed written appeals by electronic data entry.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two years of office experience.
  • Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm.
  • Requires ability to follow oral or written instructions.
  • Requires ability to operate commonly used manual and automated office equipment and computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and on-line databases with scanning functions.

Work Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday-Friday
