Job Description
Responsible for scheduling surgical cases with the physician’s offices, entering into the computer, printing and distributing to appropriate areas of the hospital. Compiles statistics and reports regarding surgical activity on a monthly or as needed basis. Assists OR Coordinators in assuring the smooth running of the daily schedule by communicating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff as appropriate.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Computer and excellent communication skills required.
- Previous hospital or physician scheduling experience preferred as well as understanding of medical terminology.
