Job Summary

This is an exciting time to join our Patient Financial Services team at CHOP! Under general supervision, the Associate II Patient Financial Services Billing Associate II submits primary & secondary bills with more complex payor requirements to insurance carriers and supports PFS credentialing activities.

Job Responsibilities

Resolves more complex billing issues; contacts hospital departments and works with
Revenue Cycle
  • Integrity Department to resolve outstanding claims related to coding and charge entry issues
  • Meets production and quality requirements
  • Provides excellent customer service
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

HBI or CRCR certified or within 6 months of placement into position

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: High School Diploma/GED
Required Experience: Three (3) years’ experience in Healthcare Billing

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Education: Associates Degree
Preferred Experience: Four (4) or more years’ experience in Healthcare Billing

Additional Technical Requirements

Excellent attention to detail, organized and computer skills, professionalism. Good working knowledge of third party insurance and public assistance programs.
