Responsibilities:
- The Patient Registrar is responsible for providing pre-registration, registration, and discharge services for patients in a variety of departments, clinics, etc.
- Overall functions include telephone utilization, insurance verification, chart preparation, and cash collection activities.
- Enter data into EPIC. Scans insurance and photos documents into EPIC.
- Pre-registration, registration and discharges patients.
- Schedules and pre-registers follow-up appointments.
- Answers telephones, prepares chart paperwork.
- Maintains a cooperative working relationship with patients, medical staff and general public.
- Responsible for entering referrals and patient authorizations into patient accounts for billing.
Qualifications:
High school or GED
2+ years experience
