Job Summary
Responsible for designing playground equipment to fit within specific areas and budget parameters via the use of our in-house software, PlayDesigner. This individual will also create new playground layouts for public websites and moderate content as needed. This is an entry-level position, though some CAD/drafting experience is preferred. We are willing to train the right applicant.
Design Specialist Job Duties
- Design playground structures and site plans using PlayDesigner and AutoCAD
- Create quotes
- Support the Design Manager with daily tasks
- Work with other designers and aid with the conceptualization, safety compliance, and development of creative projects
- Work with our sales consultant network to ensure playgrounds are created based on customer needs and requested specifications
- Provide customer service as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must be punctual, reliable, and exhibit strong work ethic
- Must display a positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Must have the availability to work overtime as requested
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, strongly preferred
- Experience in AutoCAD or comparable software, strongly preferred
- Artistic knowledge and skill, strongly preferred
- Strong computer skills, strongly preferred
- Self-starter with a can-do attitude, preferred
- Continuous improvement, preferred
- Adaptable to changes, preferred
Pay
$15.00 an hour to $16.00 an hour
