The Event
In 2023, Glasgow and locations across Scotland are hosting the inaugural UCI Cycling World Championships, bringing together 13 world championships into one. Glasgow Life will deliver the sport competition, events and additional programmes in the city on behalf of Cycling World Championships and is expanding its team to deliver the world’s biggest ever cycling event. Glasgow leads the way in hosting major cultural and sporting events, using world class facilities we’ll deliver 8 cycling disciplines bringing new ideas, partnerships and initiatives to the city, enriching urban living by animating the city in the lead up to and beyond the event to drive lasting legacy to the city.
We are recruiting a PMO Assistant to join Glasgow Life »s 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships team. The role will support Corporate Services function and directly provide administration support to the Project and Governance Manager across the project.
- Provide assistance to the PMO & Governance Manager in the preparation and collation of reports, agendas and other documentation as required
- Support the PMO & Governance Manager by arranging meetings, organising rooms, sending invites and liaising with workforce and functional area leads
- Provide a point of contact for all partners involved in the PMO & Governance process
- Assist the Project Officer as required in general office administration and financial monitoring processes
To be considered for the role you will have:
- Experience of project work or deadline based working
- Ability to communicate across Functional Areas, Client Groups and hierarchies at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use software packages such as Microsoft Word, Project, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
