Job Description
- Provide plant operations with technical support related to cleaning and sanitation activities.
- Act as central collector, reviewer and distributor of sanitation records and documentation. Review documents for accuracy and completeness based on QA requirements.
- Complete environmental monitoring sampling and report results to operations. Assist in resolution of ongoing issues.
- Manage and report on the EM and Sanitation programs including Corrective Actions for non-conformities.
- Ensure changes are reviewed, documented and executed in a manner that maintains product quality, quality and food safety management system integrity, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.
- Report status of plant cleaning and sanitation activities to operations. Drive resolution of outstanding issues and assist in root cause investigations.
- Responsible for accurate documentation of all cleaning and sanitation records.
- Participate in quality system audits and process improvement projects.
- Provide leadership to third party pressure washers. Work with contractors to maintain and continuously improve cleaning practices.
- Provide support to plant operations regarding the requirements for plant sanitation activities and requirements.
- Team-oriented and well-organized with the ability to work with a variety of people at all levels within the organization.
- Identify and implement processes to improve plant GMP and sanitation.
- Manage and continuously improve and develop the EM program
- Manage and continuously improve the master sanitation program
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical field.
- Basic understanding of sanitation requirements in a food processing facility
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks/assignments simultaneously and complete assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis.
- Previous experience with ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 a plus
