Penguin Press publishes serious and ground-breaking non-fiction across our Allen Lane, Pelican and Particular Books imprints, with bestselling authors such as Carlo Rovelli, Lea Ypi, Naomi Klein, Ha-Joon Chang, Neil MacGregor and Greta Thunberg. Press is also home to the world-famous Penguin Classics library. We’re looking for an ambitious marketer to join our award-winning team as a Senior Marketing Executive.
The Opportunity
Day-to-day, you’ll be working on marketing campaigns for a range of non-fiction books across history, science and politics, while supporting on broader brand projects. As part of a busy team, you’ll be liaising with authors, editors, publicists and sales colleagues to deliver campaigns that captivate the attention of different audiences.
From campaign to brand marketing, you’ll bring new expertise to support our growth as a team, using your initiative to seek out ways to maximise opportunities for our books and build relationships across the trade. You’ll bring strong digital marketing skills and an understanding of online audiences.
Within the marketing team, this role reports to the Head of Campaigns and is also a key contact for our International Sales team. You’ll work closely with International Sales to ensure strategic support for our books across territories, including being an important conduit for moments in the international sales calendar, and sales conferences.
Core Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of a marketing campaign from initial pitch to delivery
Engage different audiences online through organic and paid media platforms
Drive marketing conversations with colleagues across Penguin Press and Penguin Random House to support our international marketing and allocated campaigns
Work with the Brand Director of Penguin Classics on the delivery of key brand projects
A passion for our books is essential, but a background in publishing is not.
This role is based in our Vauxhall Bridge Road office in Pimlico, London.
