Superintendent of Schools

The Position
The Board of Education of the Albia CSD is seeking a highly qualified, visionary, and fully certified educational leader to serve as Superintendent of Schools, beginning July 1, 2023.
Dr. Tim Grieves and Mr. Gary Richardson, GR Consulting Services, along with Mr. Joe Crozier and Dr. Dan Smith, have been engaged as the consultants in a search for outstanding candidates and will assist the Board of Education and the Board Secretary in identifying and screening the applicants. Applicants, and/or their agents, are asked not to contact members of the Board of Education during the search process. Questions can be directed to the consultants. The Albia Community School District provide a tremendous opportunity for its next Superintendent of Schools. The Albia Community Schools serves 1,100 students with 170 staff members. The district has a stable enrollment trend over the past few years that supports a wide variety of academic and extra/co-curricular activities. 2. A complete application for the position of Superintendent of Schools Position must include:
- a letter of application
- resume’
- completed and signed application form and other necessary signatures (download: Superintendent Application)
- written response to the four narrative questions
- maximum of four recent letters of recommendation regarding your professional work (preferably at least two from your current employer)
- photocopy of college/university transcripts
- a copy of a current Iowa superintendent’s endorsement—including evaluator approval certification
