Profile Summary:
Voya Financial is looking for an Operations Consultant – Unclaimed Property. In this role you will be asked to support various activities leading up to and including the escheatment of monies to the States per State regulations, but also work to understand and implement process changes and improvements as a result of changing regulations.
Profile Description:
  • Performs research and analysis pertaining to all Unclaimed Property for Voya entities.
  • Completes the due diligence process for outstanding checks monthly including customer letters and reissuing of customer monies once contact is made.
  • Performs the filing of escheatment reports for Unclaimed Property to respective State according to State Regulations and other reports as needed or required by regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate and Work with Business units, IT, Legal, Compliance and Internal Audit to answer questions and resolve issues associated with the Unclaimed Property process.
  • Provides project management support to implement change when driven by an operational or regulatory need.
  • Minimize unclaimed property escheated to states through research and resolution of accounts
  • Maintain a process to validate UCP transactions in accounts by querying, and comparing data from various data sources to identify inconsistencies or variances
  • Monitor, review and research updates to customer inactive and dormant dates in the core system and obtain supporting documentation.
  • Contact customers with outstanding checks for attempt to resolve
  • Participates in special projects as assigned by the manager
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • High school diploma and 5+ years relevant experience; BA degree preferred.
  • General business practice knowledge.
  • Proven skills and ability to work across functional departments, ensuring compliance with Unclaimed Property and Escheatment regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Recordkeeping and administration processes knowledge preferred.
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
Voya is required by Colorado and New York City law to include the salary range for this role when it can be performed by a Colorado or New York City resident.
The below base salary range reflects the expected hiring ranges for this position in the location listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
CO Base Salary Range: $56,580 – $70
NYC Base Salary Range: $67,890 – $84,865
