Position Overview
The Workforce Development Recruiter is responsible for participant outreach, engagement and retention efforts, relationship-building with relevant parties, communications, and program promotion. This position is instrumental for to strengthen the development of the Workforce Development Program at OCHIN. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mentorship and will advocate for health equity, diversity, and inclusion. This person will be organized, empathetic, and professional and have experience in recruitment, program coordination and building strong relationships. The Workforce Development Recruiter thinks strategically and translate plans into action.
Essential Duties
- Responsible for participant outreach, engagement, and retention efforts.· Follows recruiting best practices to screen, interview, and recruit participants.
- Develop, implement, and provide oversight of outreach and engagement strategies to strengthen community engagement with potential volunteering sites. Work closely and collaboratively with cross-departmental teams and community leaders to identify partnership opportunities in alignment with the launch of workforce programs.
- Partners collaboratively with program leaders to monitor participant progress, program quality, and alignment with the organizational mission and vision.
- Liaise closely with OCHIN’s Marketing & Communications team to design communications tools, including media presence, messaging, and outreach efforts to promote the Workforce Development program.
- Source, build, and maintain a talent pipeline of potential candidates and assist in the development of a marketplace for workforce opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned to support the organizational mission and goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or graduate level degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Health OR equivalent experience OR combination of relevant experience and education.
- 0-1 years of experience as a Recruiter or
- 1plus years of experience as a College Admissions, and/or Program Coordinator.
- Experience and strength in developing productive partnerships with academic institutions, community organizations, students, third party vendors, and so forth.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing an outreach, engagement, and recruitment strategy is highly preferred
- Knowledge regarding performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details.
- Previous Workforce Development experience preferred.

Base Pay Overview
The typical offer range for this role is minimum to midpoint, with the midpoint representing the average pay in a national market scope for this position. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors directly relevant to this position, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, responsibility, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
