Job overview
Respiratory Administration Assistant
An exciting opportunity to work within Respiratory Medicine on a 12 month fixed term contract or internal secondment.
This role will be primarily working with the Lung MDT, Pulmonary Nodule and Lung Procedure teams, but, will also be required to assist the wider administration areas within Respiratory Medicine.
If you are looking to enter the NHS on an administrative level, then this could be the stepping stone for you.
You must have the ability to manage your time, and prioritise your workload depending on the current pressures.
You will have a good command of the English language, with the ability to convey information both verbally and written.
You must be well organised, be able to prioritise workloads and use your initiative.
You will also need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues, be well motivated and reliable.

No day is ever the same, you will be predominantly working alongside the Lung MDT team you could be working alongside the Lung Procedure one day, the Pulmonary Nodule the next.
You will be responsible for updating spreadsheets, contacting patients in regards to appointments, assisting the Lung MDT team.
Duties include retrieval of patient notes from file storage areas, filing, printing/photocopying/scanning and data entry/typing. Ordering stationary stock. Contacting patients in regards to planned booked appointments.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Assist MDT team with uploading results onto Notis, dropping off mail daily to mail room.
Updating Medway and Notis.
Completing/updating spreadsheets.
General administration duties for MDT team.
Preparing and typing letters, blood forms to be posted out to patients from MDT team.
Scanning documents.
Any duties deemed relevant by management team.
Assisting typists with letter preparation for posting.
Scanning and copying for MDT team.
Filling and general clerical duties for MDT team.
Ringing patients informing them of appointments.
M+M audit.
Delivering mail between Respiratory buildings
Assisting the CF team as appropriate.
Taking and collecting notes to/from outpatient clinics.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
