Apprentice Regulatory Compliance Officer
Terms and Conditions: 37 hours
Year 1 – £6.56 per hour (for the first 12 months)

Blackburn with Darwen’s Public Protection and Environmental Health Service has a rare and exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Regulatory Compliance Officer. This apprenticeship is an ideal first step on the ladder for a career in regulatory services such as environmental health, trading standards or licensing.
The Council has been a unitary authority for over 20 years and has a multi-disciplinary Public Protection and Environmental Health Service, which is known for its can-do attitude and problem solving approach to enforcement. The Service enforces legislation relating to food safety, health and safety, environmental protection, licensing and housing standards. We pride ourselves in being forward thinking, and fair but firm in enforcing the law.
Our ideal candidate will be confident and able to communicate effectively in a wide range of circumstances. The apprenticeship lasts approximately 24 months and will involve both on-the job training and online sessions. It is a level 4 qualification and requires at least level 2 maths and english to join.
