Job Description

Summary:

Operate all equipment relating to the final assembly packaging of finished Sku’s to be sent to the Finished Goods Warehouse. This position demands accuracy in a fast paced environment with attention to detail a must! This may, at times, involve working in the Production WIP assembly area. Follows all work processes implemented in the department and complies with all safety and Company guidelines as outlined in the department manuals.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate all secondary operation equipment related to the Finished Packaging Line.
  • Must be able to read and understand instructions for assembly and operating secondary machinery.
  • Monitors all components used in the packaging process for defects. Separate and set aside any defective component. Performs necessary rework as required to adhere to packaging and quality standards.
  • Comply with safety and operating policies and procedures regarding equipment, materials, and finished goods.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
  • Recognize and report any problems, issues, discrepancies, or questions to the Area Supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Assist with the removal of excess product and waste material from the packaging line area.
  • Maintain maximum efficiency in the department
  • Flexible to work in all Finished Packing Line assembly stations, as well as Costco packaging, WIP Assembly and AFR rework.
  • Must be able to read and interpret Engineering specification drawings relative to the process.
  • Must be able to perform satisfactorily in all packaging line duty stations, which may take about 3 months.
  • Must be highly motivated to work in this fast paced team environment.
  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
  • Execute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.
  • Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
  • Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.
  • Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
  • Follow all department quality standards/criteria. Raise concerns and issues to immediate manager.
  • Able to understand and demonstrate Cambro company culture, display company core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service).
  • Understands department’s key performance indicators and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team.
  • Other duties as needed or required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • May also be required to perform the duties of WIP assembly personnel if needed to support the Pultrusion molding production.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.
