Associate Logistics Manager
Hours: Day Shift, this role may require off-shift hours, weekends and holidays as needed
Salary: 90K to 110K depending on experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Focus on Safety of all employees and work environment through adherence of safety procedures
- Ensure compliance of GMP’s and the Food Safety Plan
- Deliver continuous improvement in key initiatives of Cost, Quality, Service, People, and Environment through efficient use of materials, equipment and resources
- Proactively communicate and coordinate with other Supervisors and functions to optimize operations and resources
- Management duties including leading, overseeing, coaching, and performance managing scheduling team. Issue corrective action and participate in hiring, discipline, and termination decisions, subject to final approval by upper management.
- Partners with cross-functional management teams to ensure proper workforce training development – making recommendations on staffing level changes, recommended cross training to increase worker experience and skills
- Oversee the following for labor scheduling team:
- Perform data analysis for monitoring and managing grievances, arbitration proceedings, and mediation results; based on data, identify opportunity areas and challenges in workforce and develop plan for recommend changes that effectively address issues.
- Scheduling team reports on attendance, SMETA Compliance, grievances, scheduling, month performance scorecard, quality and pay discrepancies.
- Team performance and perform quality audits for accuracy of schedules to ensure SMETA and CBA compliance are met.
- Proactively coordinate with the Maintenance Department to conduct preventative maintenance Own and drive department and shift Continuous improvement/TMM processes
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience and Knowledge:
- Two (2) plus years of work experience, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Must possess strong leadership skills, problem solving skills, and decision-making skills including scheduling and filling overtime.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills at various levels of the company
- Proficient computer skills, including usage of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Preferred Experience and Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong understanding of Enterprise inventory and warehouse systems.
- Supervisory experience in a unionized environment
- Open to relocation to other facilities in the future
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; climb up and down stairs and ladders; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The temperature of the work environment can fluctuate due to occasional temperatures from cold/cool to warm/hot. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud and will require ear plugs. While working in the manufacturing areas, the incumbent is required to wear personal protective equipment.
