The basics of a Collections Officer:

  • Hours: M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Future opportunity for hybrid in-office/remote work

What you »ll do as a Collections Officer:

  • Maintain consistent daily follow up of delinquent loans, credit card, and share accounts.
  • Attend to both inbound and outbound member communications regarding late payments, disputes and resolution options.
  • Initiates skip tracing procedures on members who have moved and failed to notify the credit union.
  • Educate members and staff on various departmental programs and policies.

Qualifications


Must haves for a Collections Officer:

  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Direct member or consumer resolution experience.

Nice to haves for a Collections Officer:

  • Associates degree in finance, management, general business or a related field.
  • Previous financial institution experience in a lending or collections role.
  • Bilingual – Spanish
