The basics of a Collections Officer:
- Hours: M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Future opportunity for hybrid in-office/remote work
What you »ll do as a Collections Officer:
- Maintain consistent daily follow up of delinquent loans, credit card, and share accounts.
- Attend to both inbound and outbound member communications regarding late payments, disputes and resolution options.
- Initiates skip tracing procedures on members who have moved and failed to notify the credit union.
- Educate members and staff on various departmental programs and policies.
Must haves for a Collections Officer:
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Direct member or consumer resolution experience.
Nice to haves for a Collections Officer:
- Associates degree in finance, management, general business or a related field.
- Previous financial institution experience in a lending or collections role.
- Bilingual – Spanish
