Job Description
Our client requires Diesel fitters to work on a long term contract with potential to transfer permanently to the employer. 35 hours per week, covering a 24/7 shift pattern.
You will be required to carry out maintenance on diesel locomotives including:
- Train presentation
- Cleaning nose ends
- Internal checks and examinations
- Checking & looking for loose components, faulty parts etc
- replenishment of fuel tanks
The successful applicant will have a level 3 qualification in a rail, Military or general automotive industry.
PLEASE NOTE: You will be required to take a Train Competence medical & Drugs & Alcohol testing prior to starting.
