About Us

LloydsPharmacy is a household name, part of the wider McKesson UK family, with over 1,400 stores nationwide; accessibly located within local communities, health centres and online. Working as a key partner to the NHS, we dispense more than 150 million prescription items per year supported by over 19,000 colleagues.

Our off-site dispensing operation consists of four large dispensing hubs in Ruislip, Warrington, Bristol and Glasgow. These Hubs process large volumes of repeat prescription work on behalf of approximately 600 Lloyds stores collectively. The role these Hubs play is critical to reducing the volume of repeat dispensing in store so that the store can focus on other activities and services. The teams in the Hubs core focus is providing an accurate and timely turnaround of patients’ prescriptions, working as a team and closely with store colleagues to ensure standards are maintained.

The four hubs utilise a combination of an advanced automated PAS system (Prescription Assembly Solution), as well as manual CDS dispensing activity.

We are defined by our ICARE values, and ILEAD behaviours. These guide our decision making and help to make sure we stay focussed on what really matters. Together, ICARE and ILEAD build our shared value system and are the key pillars of McKesson’s culture.

At McKesson UK, we don’t just accept difference — we celebrate it, we support it, and we encourage it for the benefit of our colleagues, our services, and our communities. You’ll have access to our diversity networks, inclusion groups and feel supported and comfortable in yourself at all times.

We want you to bring your whole self to work- so, wherever possible, we will look to accommodate a flexible approach to your hours and location as well as job share opportunities, to ensure that our roles work not only to support our patients lives, but yours too.

McKesson UK prides itself on being an equal opportunities employer, committed to diversity & inclusion, taking a person-centred approach to our interview process that is fair and free from both discrimination and bias. If you have any reasonable adjustment needs arising from a disability or medical condition to fully participate in the recruitment process, please discuss this with our recruitment teams.
