Type: Temporary

Job basis: Full time (35 hours per week) 12pm to 8pm – Monday to Friday

Duration: 6 weeks but could be longer

Pay: 15.71ph

Start: ASAP

Location: West end of London

Our client is a well established Membership organisation based in the West End of London. They are looking for an experienced and hands on Facilities assistant to work with them for an interim period.

Duties will include:

  • Undertake daily/weekly/monthly health and safety checks around the building, ensuring security and evacuation arrangements are always in place, as well as being responsible for opening and closing the building.
  • Plan work to ensure timely set up meeting rooms for external and internal clients, including AV equipment, dealing with technical queries from clients to ensure requirements are met.
  • Organise safe storage of meeting room furniture and equipment, audit stock and report deficiencies to the Assistant Facilities Manager.
  • Carryout cleaning of external areas, ensuring drains and gutters are kept clear and free from blockages.
  • Deal with waste disposal in the building, ensuring correct safety procedures and legal requirements are adhered to.
  • Move furniture, equipment, and items for storage around the building as and when required.
  • Supervise deliveries, ensuring security of the building and file delivery notes.
  • Participate in security arrangements, responding to requests for assistance from reception and/or others to maintain integrity of the building and prevent unauthorised access.
  • Provide cover on Reception at the beginning and end of the day, and as otherwise required by the Facilities Manager, ensuring essential services are available to all occupants.
  • Respond to enquiries/requests from staff and tenants for services in the building logged through the Facilities helpdesk.
  • Provide first aid and fire warden services including assisting with PEEPS (personal emergency evacuation plans) as required to occupants of the building.
  • Undertake duties relevant to the post and within the skill range of the postholder to assist the Facilities Manager in the effective management of the building.
