Wednesday December 07, 2022About The Position The Gas Distribution Gas System Operating Supervisor directs gas field personnel to respond to gas emergency and non-emergency situations; with the primary focus being to protect the public and property. Key responsibilities include: Manage the scope of gas related work for the AIC gas area(s) that they are assigned to monitor. Assessing the availability of gas field personnel in a given Operating Center as a result of an order that is sent to the outage analysis system. Directing gas field personnel to respond timely to specific gas related orders (Emergency & Non- Emergency). Stay in communications with Gas Supervision in the Operating Centers to address changing needs for resources. Performing after normal office hour callouts for resources due to gas emergencies or non-emergency needs. Securing emergency JULIE’s for gas field personnel performing excavation activities after normal office hours. Able to follow all the processes and procedures that are set forth to function in the GDSOS position. This position requires working rotating shift schedules. Overtime (prearranged or callout) is required for system emergencies, shift vacancies or workload needs. Occasional travel/field visits are required. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Five or more years of relevant experience (e.g., gas or electric distribution systems, operations or construction, dispatching, etc.) required. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Proven ability to communicate effectively & professionally via phone and written to internal and external customers. Proven ability to be able to handle stress and not affect work performance or your communications with internal and external customers. Effective organization, decision-making & troubleshooting skills; PC/Computer skills preferred; previous OAS experience beneficial. Must have the ability to direct and supervise a number of diversified, concurrent field activities which could greatly affect Ameren’s customers, personnel, and financial resources. Additional Information Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.
