Job Description
Eden Brown Built Environment are looking for Generic Housing Officers to
contribute to the overall performance of an organisation by providing an
effective housing management service to residents.
This is a great role for an officer looking to provide a full range of generic Housing Services on their patch: Rent-Income, ASB, oversee cleaners, ground maintenance across a covered area.
You will
- Provide a comprehensive housing management service in accordance with
the organisation »s policy leasehold matters, cleaning and grounds maintenance.
- Maximise revenue collection such as rent, as determined by the
specification in all areas of revenue generation and taking all necessary
action, such as managing arrears to minimise revenue loss throughout the
service.
- Ensuring tenants are aware of their responsibilities under their tenancy and
providing assistance and advice to tenants entitled to benefits in line with the
Welfare Reform.
- Enforce and monitor the conditions of tenancy including servicing
relevant Notices, preparing cases for court proceedings and representing the
organisation in court proceedings by presenting full and accurate information
in a professional manner.
- Process, monitor and manage empty properties as required by the
housing management specification and the commitment to reduce turn-around
times to an absolute minimum, including decisions about appropriate security
and statutory housing law, including the management
of rent, ASB.
Provide Leasehold management services, including information on right to buy
This role enables you to fully interact with residence closely. We are experiencing difficult times, so if you are passionate about supporting tenants and going above and beyond.
You will need to have a good understanding of the challenges faced by tenants
An understanding of working in a customer facing role.
