Job Description
Morgan Hunt are currently working with a small national housing association throughout the South of England. They are currently seeking a talented Repairs Surveyor to work as part of the Repairs & Maintenance team.
You will responsible for managing a variety of Repairs & Maintenance works to multiple properties, including diagnosing, and specifying remedial actions for a variety of complex repair cases. It would be essential to be a car driver for this position as their properties are scattered across the South of England.
This is initially a 6-month contract with a flexible hourly/day rate which also could go permanent. Please see further details of the role below:
- To ensure the ongoing suitability of properties for tenants, a large proportion of whom are elderly with associated specific needs (Adults at Risk)
- To ensure the necessary maintenance and repairs and appropriate adaptions are carried out to the required standard.
- To provide oversight in relation to the health, safety, and welfare of tenants in their homes.
- Specify, procure (within delegated authority limit) and manage necessary building works.
- Oversee work in connection with any insurance claim.
- Act as the managing agent for larger jobs, attending site as necessary in accordance with the CDM policy and procedure.
- Act as the client representative (i.e., named in contract). 5. Ensure that work is carried out to the required standard, managing all snagging, rework, etc. prior to sign off
Required experience:
- RICS building surveyor or CIOB or equivalent relevant qualification
- At least 3 years post qualification
