About the Role

The Risk Management Specialist is responsible for partnering with the business to facilitate effective risk management by providing strong and objective challenge.

Education
University degree or equivalent
Experience
At least 7 to 8 years experience in similar environment, and at least 3 of which technology and/ or cyber security risk management.

Key responsibilities
01. Coordinate the preparation and analysis of monthly and/or quarterly financial/business/operational reports for large complex divisions or multiple small to medium divisions.
02. Partner with technology and cyber security teams/tribes to guide them in their risk management responsibilities and independently challenge their risk analyses
03. Provide an independent Second Line opinion on the outcome of the risk assessments.
04. Facilitate and challenge Risk Control Self Assessments and Risk Assessments
05. Develop and maintain working knowledge and understanding of Swift’s strategy, key business drivers and technology, including roles and responsibilities, key deliverables and roadmaps
06. Drive the risk culture across the teams you support through the delivery of trainings and participation in key (management) meetings
07. Internal risk management advisory
08. Collaborate to improve the risk management maturity of the 1st Line of Defence
09. Participate in large and complex inter-divisional projects.
10. Prepare and make presentations to senior management meetings including committees and divisional management teams.
11. Identify and validate opportunities to improve internal processes and support to the business and to lead the coordination and implementation of these process improvements, both within the department and cross divisional.
12. Collaborate with other team members to ensure achievement of departmental short-term objectives.
13. Ensure in-depth working knowledge and understanding of key business drivers. Understand links between information and business drivers from different parts of the organization.
14. Proactively assess impact of business changes into own area of activities.
