MAINTENANCE PERSON – JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE:
Maintenance Person
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Management Team
JOB PURPOSE:
To assist management in keeping the venue in top condition in line with company standards.
HOURS:
As per contract.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT EXHAUSTIVE):
Security
- Comply with all company requirements with regards to entering and exiting the premises
- Report any accidents, defects or damages to equipment or the premises to the management team immediately
Health and Safety Responsibilities
- It is your responsibility to promote responsible attitudes towards Health and Safety as follows:-
- Ensure that induction training is attended, this will include: the location of first aid boxes, fire exits and fire fighting equipment, and information on the emergency evacuation procedure
- Ensure awareness of the Health and Safety policy which can be found on Polaris
- Keep up to date with Health and Safety matters
- Only use equipment on which you have been properly trained. This includes, but is not limited to chemicals, scaffolding, ladders and power tools.
TASKS:
- To assist venue management by conducting a weekly maintenance walkround
- Report any defects, damage or other maintenance issues with management and work together to form a plan to rectify
- Purchasing of materials and supplies with authorisation of General Manager
- Liasing with management to ensure appropriate contractors are brought on site for any larger tasks
YOUR KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS):
- Venue Standards
- Completion of Polaris training
- Timekeeping
WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM YOU:
- Maintain the highest standards of personal standards
- Ensure that all company policies and procedures are operated and followed correctly
- Take part in, and support, both local and national marketing promotional initiatives
- Account for any and all petty cash monies received and ensure receipts provided for every purchase
- Work in line with company policies and procedures with regards to work standards and health and safety
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
